Ministerial Visit 2

A message from the Head Teacher-Well Done to all on our Ministerial Visit on October 3rd 2017. Linda Fabiani MSP had proposed a motion in the Scottish Parliament to congratulate Sanderson on winning the ‘Employability Across Learning Award’ at the Scottish Education Awards 2017 and on achieving our Rights Respecting School Level 1 Award. Mr Hepburn had then asked to visit to look at our successful partnership with our local business ‘The Furnishing Service’ (TFS) and how this  prepares our pupils for work and encourages many positive outcomes from enhancing skills and confidence to planning for the future. We talked about the equity needed to give pupils with ASN the equality of opportunity that they are entitled to and how businesses should be a part of curriculum delivery from S1. Thank you to Randle Wilson and Nicole Logie from TFS, Ryan Aitken Past pupil and employee of TFS, Aileen Tinkler Education Scotland, Claire Findlay SDS, Kenny Balmain PT, Fiona Rogers S4 and Scott Doyle S5- Many Thanks to both ministers for giving their time.
